Several things have happened recently that made me feel so blessed...
On one occassion. I had been given a weed eater but I needed to get it fixed. Which I did. Upon fixing it it, I started to mow my yard, only to have the wheel on my mower fall off just as I finished the back. Well, what can you do but fix what is broken. So I did just that.
I ordered the part, fixed the wheel, and as happy as a lark I mowed my yard. And this time I actually got to finish it. Then I fired up the ol weed eater with much enthusiasm, and started to get busy. I just finished the front and had to restring it. And when I went back to work, the head flew off....
I could not believe it. I looked at the head sitting there about 10' away; looked at the weed eater shaft, then back at the head and started to laugh. I could not believe it. But it was true-I was dead in the water. Again! lol
Well, I called my Mentor and shared it with him because I felt that he would like to hear how I had laughed and not gotten frustrated or angry. Which he was glad to hear.
A few days later I received a call from his wife, and was asked to come over, they had a surprise for me. Totally bewildered, I went over there. And as I pulled up, her husband was coming out of the garage and waving me over. When I did, there on the work bench was a beautiful weed eater. And I had to admitt that I was a little envious.
Anyway, as we chatted; he spread his hand out and asked what I thought of it. I told him I thought it was beautiful. He smiled and said:"So you like it then? Good, because it's yours!"
I looked at him, the weed eater, back at him and then back at the weed eater. I could not believe it! This thing looked like it was brand new-though I knew that it was wasn't. That's just how they take good care of their property. But I could not believe that they were giving it to me for free! And that very day, I had come home and sighed in my heart "I wish I could weed eat this!"
Another blessing was that my Mentor had suggested that I not get too frustrated about my dog kennel being so small. He said:"I believe that The Lord has a kennel just laying around in someone's yard with your name on it!"
Three days later a neighbor kid strolled over and we were watching YouTube videos of Bulldogs clowning around, when his Mother came over. We started to chat about mine, and I made an off handed remark about how I hated it that my dogs were in such a small kennel, because they could not play.
She said that she had a kennel in their back yard that they weren't using and I could have it if I wanted it. I assured her that I did, and now my dogs have plenty of room to play all out!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
